Cartridge Boxes made from Scrap Materials
I don't know
exactly WHY I started making these ammo boxes. After all, you can buy
nice plastic ammo boxes for just a few bucks. But one day while surfing
the Internet I saw a picture of a case of British 303 ammo and the label
was quite visible.

I decided to mess around in Adobe Photoshop to duplicate the label and
make a small ammo box to `'go with'' my Martini sporter...
Well I had so much fun putting that one together with some left over Pine
and scrap plywood that I thought I'd use up the rest of the scrap plywood
and make some boxes for the Swede guns!
More surfing on the Net found some good images of a few Swede ammo boxes
that were fairly easy to duplicate with Photoshop once again.

Well the Swede boxes were so much fun, I thought I would do one last ammo
box for the Snider rifle. But I was out of scrap plywood and Pine!
Luckily I found some leftover Wainscot panel board!
I couldn't find images of military cases of Snider ammo on the Net but
I did find an image of an old Kynoch ammo case...Off I went again into
Adobe Photoshop and then back to the workshop.

Anyway, it's a great way to use up a bit of scrap lumber and just about
any configuration will do. If you want a copy of the labels, click
here to download them.
If you have Adobe Photoshop and you have made some others, I would like
to see them as well!
