Rifle Case Project

So that's what happens when you get into Milsurp guns. You buy a Ljungman, a P-14 or some other super long rifle and you can't find a case that you can fit 2 rifles in anymore at a store...So what are you going to do? Build one that is custom sized for your guns!

So here's how to build it...

• The sides are 1" x 4" pine made into a nice rectangle shape. Dovetail or reinforce the corners well!
• The top and bottom panels are leftover rec-room panel board. (or use 1/8" plywood)
• The interior is egg-crate foam covered in any soft material you can steal from the wife.
• The exterior is covered with green canvas and some fake leather material...I had to buy that!
• Hardware consists of a 3 foot piano hinge, a few clasps (lockable) and a suitcase handle. All are found at any building supply store.
• I am definitely not an upholsterer but a staple gun and a glue gun get a good workout on this project.
